Just a Thought

Since when does being republican mean pro-Israel? And why does "pro-Israel" mean right wing conservative... Christian? And why does "pro-Palestinian" mean radical liberal leftest and anti-Israel? Not everything is as black and white as the Republican Conservative Party is making it out to be. I mean, why can't one be both? And since when does being "pro-peace" mean "anti-Palestinian"? Why does it seem that only the idiotic candidates (sorry for the language) for the United States Presidency are all "pro-Israel" while people like Hillary Clinton are seen as extremely anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian? Why does it have to be exclusive? What does it mean to be pro-peace? Does pro-peace mean the extermination of Palestinians and a Jewish homeland on both sides of the Jordan River? It seems, that in today's political atmosphere whether in America or in Israel, there are only extreme-polarized views, which leave no room for the moderate thinker.
I think what I want to say is that being pro-Israel, pro-Palestine, and pro-peace are not mutually exclusive at all- on the contrary they are the best option. How can one expect to gain trust from the other, when the other is only referred to in the negative? So please, people, in both Israel/Palestine and abroad be pro-peace, be pro-negotiations, pro-discussion, pro-trust use common sense and be pro-humanity. Please.

  1. Ultimately I think there are too many things going on for people to focus on any one of them. Since there's so much happening all the time, people only have time to focus on the extremes of each topic - then draw their conclusions from there. In the end, people see everyone who is good at math as a nerd and every piece of modern art as junk. Unless you're in the field, you won't know more about it, which is why it's great that everyone has their field, to help educate the rest of us bozos about it.

So, thanks for educating us about this.
