Many Minnesotans, including myself, grumbled over our snow storm in April last week. It was annoying to have to take down your winter jacket and pull out your winter boots (that you just packed away for the summer) to shovel, but, we thought that was the end of it. Ha! I took these pictures this afternoon, and it’s currently still snowing (10:56pm). I really can’t think of anything else to do other than laugh, I mean, it’s April 18th and we just got 8 inches of snow! (and counting). I don’t mean to sound like someone’s grandma talking about the weather this much, but I just find it hilarious!
How to cope with your second spring snow storm.
Listen to Christmas music. (a local news channel did this)
Drive with your windows down while blasting your favorite tunes (saw and heard this while shoveling- it was still snowing at this point)
Make a friend while clearing the snow off your car (did this after I had been in a cafe for 3 hours)
Have a snowball fight (I didn’t today, but why now?)
Buy bright orange flowers and put them on the table (check)
Wish everyone a safe drive (everywhere I went today people made a point to tell me to be safe while driving)
Laugh
Make tea, sit by the window and watch The Christmas Carol (why not?)
Only drive if you have to (cancelled a happy hour outing with a friend)
Make friends with fellow drivers who were more unfortunate then you were. (I stopped to make sure a car stuck in the ditch was ok, they were playing word association while waiting for the tow-truck)
Oh Minnesotans, I think I’ll miss you.
